Prior to marrying Severus, Evelyn is very much an Early European History scholar and travels often, most often to France, where the bulk of her studies are focused. Now how could she NOT drag her magic-man along to the World's most romantic city???

Personally I see Sev falling in love with Paris. I mean WHO DOESN'T? Perhaps he knows a couple of Wizarding locales to which he could take Evelyn that would knock her 4" Michael Kors off?

Title is an homage to the 1956 short TEARJERKER of a film, "Le Ballon Rouge".
